Who I Am

It's hard to choose the few things you want to be good at in life. But
there's just not enough time to do everything you want to do - you have to
prioritize.
Coding, Photography,
Videography, Music
and Sports are some of the things I want to
be good at.
I know that might still look like a lot
but for me, that's compartmentalized enough from the rest of "all of the
things"
that I feel like I can be at least good at all of them.
I identify first and foremost as a Christian who loves God and seeks to live
by the principles in the Bible. It makes life much more enjoyable,
meaningful and
comprehensible. I have an amazing church family that I'm part of and
regularly volunteer time and skills to help where I can.
I love my wife Leah; marrying her is probably the
best choice I'll ever make. She makes life easier and sweeter every day. As
much as I can, I serve her and put her before myself and it makes for a
happy marriage.
I enjoy sports, especially basketball, football, and golf. Also I like
volleyball, tennis, and disc golf. Staying active is important to me since
my
job is sitting/standing at a desk all day, plus....I just like competing.
I grew up in a little town - Wolfsville, MD. I attended Wolfsville
Elementary School for K-5th grade, homeschooled for 6th-10th grade, then
started at Hagerstown Community College in fall of 2017. I knew I liked
computer things, so I went with Web and Multimedia Technology, which was a
blend of graphic design and coding. I graduated in 2021 with my associates
degree and started working at HeartyPet in Hagerstown, MD handling web
development.
My typical tasks include: general website maintainance and bug fixes,
building new, custom websites for clients. I work in Shopify, Wordpress and
Odoo using Javascript, Liquid, PHP, HTML/XML, and CSS. I'm working on
learning Node and React and hope to release an app in the next year.
